Charles Saatchi is a British businessman, art collector, author and philanthropist.
He is the co-founder of global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, which he set up in 1970 with his brother, Maurice.
Saatchi opened The Saatchi Gallery in 1985, one of the most visited museums worldwide, to exhibit his art collection. Charles is regarded as one of the main influencers of contemporary art during the 1990s, championing YBA (Young British Artists) and artists such as Damien Hirst and Tracy Emin. In 2010, Saatchi announced that he would be donating the Saatchi Gallery along with over 200 works to the British Public.
As of 2016 Charles Saatchi has published eight books.
